About Travis Powell, aka The Waxing Diva — Esthetician and LMP
I am the Waxing Diva, otherwise known as Travis Powell, and my specialty is the Brazilian wax. What is a Brazilian wax, you ask? It is a bikini wax where all the hair (yes, darling, that hair in the "hidden" pubic areas - lip and bum) is removed. You could say I do more than most to tame the wild hair. I've performed the Brazilian wax on thousands of satisfied clients.

I also do Designer wax. This is where a design is waxed and tweezed in the pubic area creating an individual stylish design. Some of my favorites include "The Lotus Petal", "Landing Strip", "Diamonds are a Girl's best Friend" and "It takes two to Tango".

Who wants the Brazilian wax? People from all aspects of life. Men and women, straight and gay, married and single. Even expecting mothers. In fact, I once gave a Brazilian wax to a woman who was 9 months pregnant. No finding baby beneath the cabbage leaves for that woman! The ages of my clients run from 18 - 55 and older. Attorneys, doctors, students, real estate agents, investment bankers, even grandmothers come to me for the Brazilian wax.

How does one become a Brazilian waxier? The only answer I can give is lots of practice. The procedure is not taught in school. And it helps to have a vivid imagination not only when creating the Designer waxes, but also in removing the hair. Some of the positioning I guide my clients to assume is based on yoga stretches. These positions help to keep the skin taunt, allowing the hair to be removed without damaging the skin and aids to make those nether regions lovely.

Becoming a Waxing Diva isn't something that I set out to do - but I was born with the ability. My background began in massage, then, I went back to school to become an aesthetician. I'm now the Waxing Diva. I've worked in several spas and salons in Seattle, Washington, helping men and women be lovely from head…to…toe. Once, the owner of an upscale spa where I was working asked why I had been getting so many requests for bikini waxes. The poor thing, didn't know that my clients were getting much more then bikini waxes…they were getting Brazilians. Want to know more about the Brazilian or me drop me an email or stop by and visit. There's more to Brazil than Rio and Carnival, you know.

About Eri Higuchi — Esthetician

Eri Higuchi came to us via Japan. Eri started her career in the beauty industry as a nail tech, but while in school, she became interested in improving her personal skin care regimen. She enjoyed it so much that she decided to study esthetics as well.

"I love how I am able to help people improve, maintain and perfect their skin."

Beauty does have a price...waxing! Whoever said 'no pain, no gain' had the right idea. Perfect brows do require a little tug here and there.

Eri’s goal is to help her clients to become the most attractive person that they can be.

Come in and welcome Eri to Salon Dewi and schedule an appointment for a service when you visit!

About Marie Camacho — Esthetician
I have been in the salon/spa industry for 7 years, and 5 of them have been dedicated to Esthetics. From the heart of Texas, Phoenix, and on to Seattle, I've practiced natural nail care, skincare and managed spas.

Through my experiences, my best time spent has been in the treatment room. Further holistic and clinical skincare training has given me the tools to provide facial treatments to relax the mind and body, but also give you results-orientated care. Then there's the all too popular art of waxing. Fresh brow shapings will compliment your facial features and practically give you a mini face-lift. Throw in a bikini/brazillian and we're ready for what or whoever!

About Matthew Crane — LMP
My aptitude for body/energy work and my vast customer service background made Massage Therapy an ideal career choice for me. I am a graduating the, Seattle based, Brian Utting School of Massage (1000 hr program).

I started working at Salon DEWI in Oct of 07, and I love it! Travis is great, the clients are wonderful, the team is full of amazing individuals, and the environment is warm and inviting. I really love my job:) It brings me great satisfaction at the end of a work day to know that I have helped my clients to feel better in their bodies and to have affected their quality of life in such a positive and meaningful way.

My personal philosophy is: "I do not believe massage should hurt." In my experience, that "hurts so good" thing is usually not very good for your body or your nervous system in the long run. My goal is to increase your level of body awareness and relaxation through breath work and verbal/biofeedback.

The majority of my training is based in Swedish and Deep Tissue massage. I also incorporate some Cranio Sacral, NMT, Thai, and Sports, and other various massage techniques into my treatments. EveryBODY is different, so I always try and curtail each massage to my individual client's needs that day. I am always respectful of personal boundaries. I look forward to our next massage session at SalonDEWI.

Georgia Ferguson – LMP
Coming from a family upbringing of massage therapists and body-workers I was destined to follow in those therapeutic footsteps. Having these passions in working so close with the body and self-care I was and still am motivated to study various creative forms of massage and spa therapies. These would include, but aren't limited to, deep tissue and trigger-point therapies, sports and treatment oriented massage and also creating and blending with spa treatments including hot or cold stone therapy, thelasotherapy (working with products from the sea) and also blending with essential oils in aromatherapy, just to name a few.
